Mills On The Air

On a weekend in May each year radio amateurs set up stations in windmills and watermills all over the United Kindom. Apart from being an exciting time for those involved, the event promotes both the mill itself and also amateur radio since members of the public encounter enthusiasts at work. The event is organized in conjunction with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB).

The Mills on the Air weekend is timed to coincide with National Mills Weekend. National Mills Weekend is the annual festival of milling heritage

This years event will be May 9. Point your beams across the pond and have some fun working Mills on the Air.
