About this event

WHAT IS OPERATING DAY?

Operating Day is held on the last Saturday of each calendar month from 9am to 12pm at Green Clover Hall.

It is an event where everyone can come together to showcase and experiment with their equipment, fostering a hands-on learning environment. Club members are encouraged to bring a rig with antenna and set it up for all to see. Have a cool gadget you want to show and tell? Bring that as well. Most operating days we try to have a hands-on workshop of some sorts.

(If you have a knowledge of a particular subject and would like to lead a workshop, we are looking for volunteers).

WHO CAN ATTEND OPERATING DAY?

Operating Day is opened to all licensed operators.

However, Operating Day is more than just an event for licensed operators. It is a vibrant gathering that fosters both fellowship and mentorship, providing a welcoming space for new and aspiring operators. Club members take pride in introducing newcomers to the fascinating hobby of amateur radio, sharing their knowledge and experiences. The hands-on workshops and equipment demonstrations are perfect opportunities for attendees to engage, learn, and ask questions about HAM radio. It is both a time for fellowship as well as mentoring new operators.

DON’T HAVE A LICENSE?

No worries, all are welcomed.

Operating Day is not just a time for showcasing equipment; it's an opportunity to immerse oneself in the dynamic world of amateur radio. Whether you are a seasoned operator or someone entirely new to the hobby, the event offers a unique chance to broaden your understanding and skills. Hands-on workshops provide practical experiences, while demonstrations offer a glimpse into the diverse setups that make HAM radio so fascinating. Attendees can engage with passionate club members who are eager to share their knowledge and answer questions, making the event both educational and enjoyable.

See you at the event!
